Local Environmental Conditions
Badaling Dahan located in Yanqing, Beijing, which is in the
north of the Great Wall. There are many mountains. Yanqing has high altitude
and strong solar radiation, large temperature differences between day and
night. The area has the richest solar
energy resources in Beijing. The place also has abundant geothermal resources
and wind resources.
Lessons Learned
Badaling Dahan 1MW Solar Tower Plant is the first MW-scale
tower solar thermal power station in China and Asia.
The thermal storage system is a two-stage thermal storage, and the media are
VP-1 and superheated steam.
