Local Environmental Conditions
The project located in the province of Qinghai in China, which has abundant solar radiation, but is a high altitude desert environment and the has severe weather conditions.
Lessons Learned
By the end of February 28, 2018, Delingha 10MW power station has been completing 86.7% of the designed power generation.
From the statistical analysis, the main factors causing the power generation
not fully reaching the capacity include equipment failure, extreme weather
effects and operational differences, where the equipment failure is the most
important factor. After fixing all the issues, the power generation reached
96.6% of the designed capacity during the 2018.[1]
From Mr. Jianxiang Jin, the
biggest economic risk of concentrated solar power project is the power
generation does not reach the designed value. Compared to trough-type heliostat
power station, the tower-tupe have advantages of heat
and light efficiency. SUPCON Solar has master the core technologies of tower
type high-precision large-scale CSP. The deviation between the power generation
of 10MW power station and the design value is less than 5%, which indicated the
technology and equipment can be successfully put into operation and set a good
foundation for the following 50MW and 100MW projects.[2]
