Local Environmental Conditions
The project located in the province of Qinghai in China, which has abundant solar radiation, but is a high altitude desert environment and the has severe weather conditions.
Lessons Learned
LuNeng Haixi is the fifth CSP demonstration project in China. This project combined CSP with
wind power and solar PV, along with thermal energy storage, demonstrates the
potential for creating balanced and reliable renewable energy systems.
