Local Environmental Conditions
Ashalim Plot B located in the Negev desert, Israel, which is arid and has very little rain and extreme temperatures. Since Israel's latitude is approximately 30 degrees North, it is a sun-rich country.
Lessons Learned
Ashalim Plot-B and another 110MW CSP and 30MW photovoltaic
power plant form the Ashalim Complex.
This 121MW project will be designed to generate an annual output of 320 GWh.
By 2019, it is the tallest and one of the largest concentrated solar power
projects in the world.
Ashalim Plot-B represents 1% of the Israel's overall electricity capacity.
